How do I create sales stages?

From leads to customers your contacts will move through different stages in their customer life cycle. This sales stages shape your entire sales process, and define the milestones a deal typically goes through. With sales stages you can track the progress you have made with each contact and forecast your sales performance. You can add, edit or remove your sales stages under Administration/Sales/Opportunities/Phases-chances of selling.

As sales stages help you define the likelihood of winning a deal, you can link your sales stages directly to a specific probability percentage and status. For example, if a customer finally reaches the stage 'Order', status and probability are set automatically to 'Won' and 100%.

Color coding your sales stages will provide you with a better overview of your sales process when looking at your opportunity dashboard.
